Rotini Bake, Spaghetti Bake, Casseroles



This is a recipe for Rotini Bake. It is adapted from a classic Spaghetti Bake recipe. This is the fast version as it calls for the jar of spaghetti sauce. It tastes even much better and even more personalized with homemade sauce. This is 1 of my preferred recipes.

2 lb ground beef

2 26 oz jar of spaghetti sauce

1 8 oz package mozzarella cheese

1 8 oz package cheddar cheese

1 16 oz box of rotini noodles

1 medium onion chopped or 1 tablespoon onion powder

1 Tablespoon garlic powder

Non Stick Spray

Preheat oven to 350 Degrees

Strategy

Step 1: Put a generous quantity of water into a pan. Bring to a rolling boil. Boil noodles for five minutes. (Noodles will not be cooked all of the way). Drain noodles, set aside.

Step two: Brown ground beef with chopped onion (or onion powder) and garlic powder. Drain properly. Mix with rotini noodles. Add two jars of spaghetti sauce. Mix properly.

Step 3: Spray a baking pan with non-stick spray. Add half of the spaghetti sauce, ground beef and noodle mixture to the bottom of a baking pan. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese more than the mixture. Add the other half of the spaghetti sauce, ground beef and noodle mixture. Sprinkle the remaining cheese more than the top.

Step 4: Cover pan with Foil. Spot in oven and bake for 30-45 minutes or until cheese is bubbly. Get rid of foil and bake one more 15-20 minutes (or until golden brown)

You can also substitute the ground beef with ground turkey to make this a healthier alternative. This dish is preferred served with garlic bread and a side salad.
